Contract Recruitment
Multiple Positions Filled at Hourly or Monthly Rates

Contract recruiter consultants assist you in filling your full-time employee openings.  Typically, we are brought in when a client has multiple openings throughout an organization or one group within a company needs a specific recruiting focus.

Most contract recruitment consulting assignments are either paid on an hourly rate or on a monthly rate.  Some will invoice a base monthly rate and then be paid a little more with each person who starts - almost a combination of contingent and contract recruitment.

Our job is to get into a company, deliver the best available candidates to them, and get out.  We are an extension of your HR department. Recruitment is not "magic". It is hard work. As a contract recruiter consultant, we need to be an active participant of your team. If we work together as a team, our project will be successful. RecruiterGuy is an AIRS trained contract recruiter consultant whose professional recruitment experience dates back to 1981.

We usually do not stay for more than a year, unless the recruitment project is a large one.  A great example of a large contract recruitment consulting project was the 24 month project for MCI where Bill Humbert assisted in the transition of an IT Director's organization from Pentagon City, VA to Cedar Rapids, IA.

Based in Pentagon City, VA, we recruited almost 200 IT professionals and relocated most of them from around the country to Cedar Rapids.  The project was huge. Typically, we had as many as 80 open requisitions at a time. We would interview in 2 to 3 cities per week (two weeks out of each month), interview 18 to 27 candidates per day, and make hiring decisions every evening. Then we arranged for site visits by the candidates who received offers. At the same time the candidates visited MCI's offices, representatives of Iowa Realty (led by Mary Penney and Sue Byers) gave them tours of the city. Their work was key to the success of the project. In addition to recruitment, we utilized our project manager skills. This was a great example of teamwork with the managers and HR in order to be very successful.

We did it on a flat monthly fee.  Therefore, we saved MCI approximately $2.4 million had they paid contingent fees.

Contract recruiter consultants typically spend part of their time on-site and part of their time in their own offices.  This gives us an advantage over other types of recruiters.  We have a visibility within your company.  We can work with your recruitment processes and make suggestions to improve the processes.  Since we spend time at your locations we learn your business and learn the "hidden openings". While on a contract recruitment consulting assignment, the good contract recruiter consultants act as though they are a member of your corporate family.
