Posting Process
Internal/External Posting Process

Why post new or replacement positions internally?  If your hiring managers have done a good job of making strategic hires, your best fit for this new position may come from within your company.

However, sometimes your company has promoted everyone who is ready for promotion.  You are still growing and need additional talent from outside of the company.

Where do you post positions?  While on contract recruitment assignments we have noticed that some companies still place postings on bulletin boards in the Human Resource Department or in another public designated area in the company.

The internal posting process is another one that may be easily automated.  Most companies today at least have e-mail for all employees, if not additional access to a corporate Intranet.

The electronic posting system can be tied to e-mail and your web job posting page.

The process may be further automated by allowing internal and external candidates to electronically apply for a position.

Then it is a simple step to track candidates for recruitment or EEOC purposes.

These electronic processes can save your Human Resource Department hours of paperwork and searches for reports and resumes. Not to mention the thousands of dollars that your company may save on contingent recruitment fees.
